Step into a sweet and peaceful space where stories come to life and little hearts are nurtured. During Story Time with Mrs. Jen, children will gather each week to enjoy beautiful, living picture books that spark imagination, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Designed especially for preschool and transitional kindergarten students (approximately ages 3–5), this class offers a gentle introduction to group learning in a warm and inviting environment.

Rooted in a Charlotte Mason approach, our time together includes rich read-alouds, simple circle time, rhymes and songs, and easy hands-on activities that connect to each story. We’ll take time to wonder, observe, and talk about what we’ve heard, helping children grow in attention, listening, and confidence.

This class is intentionally calm and relational rather than fast-paced or high-energy. Children will be encouraged to participate at their own comfort level as they grow in independence, attention, and a love for learning.

Parents are welcome to stay and observe the class or enjoy time connecting and fellowshipping with other moms, making this a sweet experience for both children and parents.

The Math Lab will provide support for pre-algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2

utilizing the following textbooks:

Pre-Algebra – Saxon Algebra 8/7

Algebra 1 – Saxon Algebra 1

Algebra 2 – Saxon Algebra 2

Upper grade students will have access to their own Google Classroom. Throughout

the week, students will be able to post their progress through the syllabus, giving

students a level of accountability to help them stay on track. They will also be able

to share their questions and indicate concepts they would like to review.

Information submitted by 3 pm on Tuesday will be used by the instructor to plan

the Thursday Math Lab time. During the first 45 minutes, students can work on

their math lessons while the instructor is assisting the elementary math students.

Then, during the last 45 minutes, students will receive support either individually

or in small groups. This time will be organized based on information gathered

through their Google Classroom. Students will also be assigned tests to be completed at home, and these will be corrected by the instructor, providing feedback and helping to keep students on pace. If students want extra support as they move through the curriculum, there are videos which can be purchased. The following are suggestions – there may be other resources you want to consider for your student:

  • Pre-Algebra: Videos by Nicole the Math Lady provide a brief explanation

of each lesson.

  • Algebra 1: Students can purchase videos from Michele’s Math (pre-

recorded online videos from Michele Small)

  • Algebra 2: Students can purchase videos from Michele’s Math (pre-

recorded online videos from Michele Small)

Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, these private voice and piano lessons are designed to nurture your child’s musical growth through personalized instruction. Drawing from a blend of classical techniques and creative exploration, each lesson is crafted to help students connect deeply with music, develop technical proficiency, and discover their unique musical voice.

Rather than focusing solely on a rigid curriculum, lessons are tailored to the student’s individual goals and learning pace. Through a combination of vocal exercises, music theory, and performance practice, students will gain confidence and artistry. Each session encourages self-expression and fosters a deep appreciation for the joy of music while also pushing the student towards excellence in their craft.

Students can choose to focus on one instrument or combine both voice and piano for a comprehensive musical education. The lessons will include:

    •    Technique-building exercises

    •    Musicality and expression through songs

    •    Ear training and sight-reading

    •    Personalized repertoire selection based on the student's interests

In addition to technical development, we emphasize the importance of performance, with opportunities to showcase progress in recitals or small group performances.

Whether you're preparing for a performance, audition, or simply exploring your passion for music, these lessons are designed to inspire a lifelong love of the arts. Limited time slots available on Thursdays, during Journey’s Co-op and also all other weekdays.
